The Wacotown Countdown exists to promote downtown Waco, the new McLane Stadium, and the upstart design community here in Waco. We are setting out to paint a monthly countdown at 4th and Franklin. Each month, a diff erent designer will design a number, then we’ll paint over the previous month’s number and paint the NEW number in its place. Twelve months of custom numbers by diff erent designers, all pointing toward the first kicko ff in the new stadium.
The project is curated by the Wacotown community, painted by fellow Wacoan Mark Cunningham (Eagle Eye Design), and has been partially funded by our friends at the Downtown Waco PID.
